Since the pieces are in "units" and you need to process them in kilograms, you should know that both units do not belong to the same "unit category", so I suggest you use the manufacturing module with bills of materials as an alternative. This way you can consume that "Final" product and obtain another one in kilograms. Once you have obtained it, you can process it as kilograms.
