Jan Coffee is the first street coffee shop to open on October 22, 2017 in Sulaimaniyah. Since its creation, Jan Coffee has caused a significant shift in the demographics of Salim Street, as it has managed to become a meeting point for all of the city's diverse population.

All of the city's young men and women gathered here for a cup of coffee and to catch up on each other's lives. Jan Coffee was able to shift the belief that women have the same right as men to sit on a public roadway.

The opening of Jan Coffee spawned a chain of other coffee shops in the city, which aided the private sector and many young people in establishing their own enterprises while servicing the city's rich culture.

Jan Coffee is now the first Kurdish Coffee brand in the region, as announced in a special event with the presence of the Governor of Sulaimaniyah.

The event was streamed internationally, and Jan Coffee is now shipping Kurdish Coffee to many countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, etc.
