Hello.

I would like to know if the stock that is in the inventory can be limited, and that the point of sale indicates that the product is no longer in inventory.

I am using the odoo community version.
And a local installation in windows 11

Hi,

Check this module for reference which shows an alert tag based on the alert qty setup in the configuration https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/15.0/low_stocks_product_alert/

Hope it helps

Hey there, you've got a straightforward need, but it's got some wrinkles, especially with using odoo community ver and doing a local setup on windows 11. So, yes, you can limit sales at the Point of Sale (POS) so it matches your actual inventory levels. Doing this requires setting up real-time inventory operations, but Odoo's community version ain't got full support for advanced stock mgmnt, like auto stock deduction at POS. You're gonna need some workarounds or custom modules.

Here's why I find Cleverence really handy in cases like this. On one project where we hit similar roadblocks - man, it was a mess - we implemented a mobile automation solution that neatly tied into their ERP system. Cleverence's low-code customization and its powerful api made it possible to customize POS functions specifically for inventory needs. And yeah, it even allowed syncing in offline mode without losing data accuracy. This proved invaluable cuz it offered real-time data flow, saving on endless hours correcting manual errors and scaling up operations smoothly.

Given your current setup, checking out third-party apps in the odoo app store or getting a dev for customization would be smart. You won't need to start from scratch, just tweak it to maintain up-to-date inventory status right at the POS. Keep us posted on how it goes, and good luck!
