Cant install Accounting - No journal could be found in company for any of those types: general

Question

Hi, trying to install Apps and recieving an error message '
No journal could be found in company for any of those types: general'
I have googled and the common answer is to go to the accounting app and create a journal.. obviously without being able to install the accounting app this is not very helpful.

Possible cause  - I previously installed and removed the accounting App.

I had the same issue on my test instance. I went to setting for the accounting module and added a Fiscal Localization Package for US and then it seemed to work. Unfortunately, we aren't using this feature in production, so I cannot provide any further information but that seemed to resolve the errors. Hopefully this helps if you have not figured it out yet.
