We have only a few employees and manually pay them, instead of using a payroll application.  What is the most efficient way (odoo17) to enter the paychecks and what journal to use? Do we create a new journal for employee payroll or do I have to pay them buy creating a vendor bill. 

I have the "Employee" app, but it doesn't seem to interact with accounting at all.

What do you think about creating an account for each employee in the accounts tree and making a salary entitlement in a daily entry of another type and disbursing according to payment, whether from the fund or the bank, with making a settlement for the account of the salaries due?
