Good day,


I am 2 months into ODOO and direct support has been very frustrating. I do not have a great deal of book keeping experience but my new business is booming...lots of sales and purchases!

I have 4 bank accounts that came across when we synced our account via plaid - Royal Bank of Canada.

Only one account was showing data and we could not reconcile between our US and Canadian account or our savings and tax deferral account.

Now comes disaster #1. ODOO support told us we needed to add journals and that made sense. We created 3 new journals but did not know which account was which. When we populated the journals the sync happened immediately and we saw that the journals were not correct for the corresponding account. We switched them in online synchronization and they populated again but ADDED to the journal rather than refresh it. The USD journal locked up as it was trying to mix currencies.

Disaster #2 - In a panic I deleted 2 of the 3 journals and the 3rd does not allow me to delete it as it has data linked to other modules already. When I deleted 2 of them it also deleted my accounts in the Online Synchronization!

The Accounting functions are basically unusable. I am hoping someone can help.

2 journals are syncing but the actual journal has data from this and my USD account that synched incorrectly in disaster #1 are piled on top of each other. The journal is filled with incorrect data. Now I can't sync the other 2 accounts as they have disappeared after deleting the journals....

Disaster #3 - No ! did not back up before doing this. It was an 11pm try at what I thought was a quick fix.


Any help out there? Preemptive apologies for being a noob.

Hire some accountants or odoo accountants to fix it for you. You need professionals.
