Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a resource that can teach me how to build a dashboard in Spreadsheet from scratch in a simple and clear way. I couldn’t find anything complete either in Odoo’s own documentation or on YouTube — all the videos I’ve come across don’t explain it fully. Could anyone help me out?

"SPREADSHEET" is not a question. A question is a substantial phrase that ends with "?"

We get close to 1,000 posts a month and not everyone will open a post to find out what your question is.

I have edited your post to make the title a question.

In the future, please consider (1) using a Question that makes it clear what you ask without requiring people to open your post and (2) adding Tags. This will often increase the chances people will respond and also make everything clearer for others who may come along later searching for the same thing.

Failing that, you can paste your future posts into an AI Chatbot and ask it to "please generate a question of no more than 16 words that summarizes what I am asking" and use that as your question.

Hi,

Please refer to the links:

1. https://www.odoo.com/documentation/19.0/applications/productivity/spreadsheet.html

Covers how to use spreadsheets in Odoo: templates, functions, linking to Odoo data, pivot tables, global filters, etc. Good to see all the tools available.

2. https://www.odoo.com/slides/spreadsheet-390

Practical “step-by-step” style course that helps configure spreadsheets and dashboards

3.https://www.odoo.com/documentation/18.0/developer/tutorials/discover_js_framework/02_build_a_dashboard.html

If you want dashboards that are more interactive / coded, the “Discover web framework” tutorial shows how to build dashboards using Owl / JS etc. Good for advanced dashboards.

Hope it helps.

Hi Kozimjon,

Did you checked the Odoo report and spreadsheet integration? You can push the pivot table data to spread sheet and then can generate different type of graphs.

There are couple of dashboards already available in Odoo and you can add your data to it from a module pivot table.

eg in a Point of sale module there is reporting -> orders, you can go to pivot view vs graph and add choice of measures and then push to a spread sheet.

Now go to Dashboard module choose that spreadsheet and can build graphs.

hope this helps.

Thanks,

Sumit
