Erik Frey is the owner and CEO of Seil-Frey GmbH, an international market leader in innovative solutions for rope and net configurations with highly customized product installations worldwide. Originally focused on extending the Odoo ERP capabilities for his complex and highly configurable product portfolio, Erik and his developer team began building and enhancing the configure-price-quote (“CPQ”) functionality in 2019, eventually leading to CodeCPQ as an integrated CPQ solution for Odoo. In 2023, he has emphasized international use cases, simplification of the programming back-end, and, most lately, adaptation to the upcoming Odoo 17 release.
Erik Frey has an M.Sc. in Economic Engineering, is a master rope maker and has been programming since 1986.
CPQ (configure, price, quote) software enables firms to manage complex, configurable products in an integrated fashion. CodeCPQ extends the Odoo ERP functionality with a streamlined product configuration interface, Sales support via automated pricing and quotation documents, and purchasing / production support via automated creation of Purchase Orders, Bills of Materials, Drawings and Production Instructions. Key benefits are improved efficiency via workflow automation across the whole value chain, data consistency via real-time updating of all product data, as well as improved product management. The talk presents the main CodeCPQ features and benefits and demonstrates a typical Odoo use case.
