Trying to be as technical as functional to help clients and teammates every day
A Swiss aviation services company manages two key operations at a regional airport: private flights with personnel logistics, and a handling service responsible for welcoming passengers and managing luggage.
These operations relied heavily on two industry-specific tools — Leon Software and MyHandling — which were deemed essential and irreplaceable. However, the administrative and invoicing processes were largely manual, involving extensive copy-paste routines.
This talk will show how Odoo was positioned as the central integration layer, using two lightweight custom connectors to:
automatically synchronize customer and service data daily,
retrieve and process invoices generated in the external systems,
handle all accounting and bank reconciliation within Odoo,
and push essential financial updates back to the original software.
Thanks to this integration-first approach, the company achieved major gains in reliability, speed, and data quality — while maintaining their trusted operational tools.
Target audience: Functional consultants, integration experts, and SMEs looking to modernize processes while preserving key business software.
