I have been told there is a group of Apps installed by default.

They are the "default Productivity Apps" but I don't know which ones that means.

For the Community Edition:

  • Employees
  • Email Marketing
  • Project
  • Surveys

For the Enterprise Edition:

  • Employees
  • Email Marketing
  • Project
  • Surveys
  • Appointments
  • Knowledge
  • Planning
  • Sign


This is configured via the Odoo configuration file:

default_productivity_apps = True

Note: the Discuss, Contacts and Link Tracker Apps are also installed by default in new Enterprise databases.

Looks like Knowledge require the Helpdesk app?

Lars Aam I don't think it does

Knowledge does not require Helpdesk. When you install Website you can share Knowledge to your Visitors, and when you install Helpdesk you can integrate your Helpdesk with both but this is optional.

Dependencies for Apps are shown on the Technical Info tab of the App via the Apps Menu (in Developer Mode).
